25 years of SEO · 50,000+ first-page rankings · 5-star Google reviews

Why isn't your SEO working?

Usually it's not one big thing. It's a dozen small ones nobody fixed: slow pages, duplicate titles, thin service pages, no links from trusted sites, a Google Business Profile that hasn't been touched in two years. Each one costs you a little. Together they keep you off page one.

Or maybe you're paying for SEO already, and the monthly report shows "impressions up" while the phone stays quiet. That's what happens when an agency chases easy keywords nobody buys from.

Every month that goes by, your competitors add pages, earn links and collect reviews. SEO compounds for whoever is doing it. If that's not you, it's working against you.

Which SEO problems can you check yourself in 20 minutes?

You do not need tools or a login to find the most common problems. Open your site on your phone, open Google, and work down this list.

  • You are missing from Google: Search for site:yourdomain.com. If key pages do not appear, Google has not indexed them. That is a technical problem, and no amount of content will fix it.
  • Every page has the same title: Look at the blue headline of each result in that same search. If they all say your business name, Google cannot tell your pages apart.
  • One page for everything: If all your services share a single page, that page is competing for ten searches at once and winning none. Each service that makes you money deserves its own page.
  • Slow on a phone: Load your homepage on cellular data. If you are still waiting after three seconds, so are your buyers.
  • No reason to trust you: A buyer should see reviews, real photos, who runs the business and how to reach you within a few seconds. Search engines and AI tools look for the same signals.
  • A stale Google Business Profile: For local businesses, wrong hours, an old category or no photos this year costs you map rankings and calls.
  • Nobody links to you: If no supplier, partner, association or local news site mentions you, Google has only your word for how good you are.
  • No tracking: If you cannot say how many calls and forms came from search last month, you cannot judge any SEO work, ours included.

$540K/mo

monthly revenue for an appliance retailer, up from $300K

What results has MRB's SEO produced?

A household appliance retailer came to us with a solid store and flat sales. Their category pages were thin, their site structure buried top products, and competitors outranked them for the searches that mattered most.

We rebuilt their category pages around what buyers search for, fixed the technical issues slowing Google down, and added content and links month by month. Monthly revenue grew from $300K to $540K, and daily clicks more than doubled.

That's what SEO looks like when it's done well. It's not a trick. It's steady, senior work on the right pages. Read the full e-commerce case study

How much do SEO services cost?

Plans start at $950/month. Price depends on how competitive your market is, how many locations or products you have, how much content you need each month, and how many links it takes to compete. Every plan includes AI visibility work, a technical audit, keyword tracking and monthly reporting. Web design, CRO, branding and e-commerce optimization are quoted per project, and PPC work is quoted per job.

Who does the SEO work?

Brian Vastola does. He's our founder and lead strategist, with 25 years of hands-on SEO. He runs strategy, implementation and audits, supported by a senior team of 5 specialists. No account managers, no handoffs. When your developer has a question, Brian gets on the call. About MRB

When will I see SEO results?

Most clients see early movement in 1 to 3 months, usually from technical fixes and quick on-page wins. Real growth in traffic and leads usually takes 4 to 12 months. Competitive national markets take longer than local ones.

Some benchmarks from our own verified work:

  • Public adjuster site: 57 pages ranked #1 in 3 weeks (brand-new site in a niche we know well; this is unusually fast).
  • National pest control company: +300% clicks and +250% impressions in 7 months.
  • Cannabis e-commerce brand: 3x organic clicks and +50% sales within 12 months.

Value tip (even if you never hire us): judge any SEO agency at 90 days by one question: "What did you change on my site this month?" If they can't list specific pages and fixes, the work isn't happening.

What does SEO work look like month to month?

Good SEO is a routine, not a launch. Here is what a normal month looks like once the first round of fixes is done.

  • Week 1, review: We read last month's rankings, clicks, calls and sales, and pick the pages and keywords that deserve attention next.
  • Week 2, on-site work: Titles, headings, internal links and technical fixes on the pages we chose. New pages are briefed and written.
  • Week 3, publishing and links: New content goes live. Link building and citation work run in the background all month.
  • Week 4, reporting: You get a plain report: what we did, what moved, what did not, and what is next.

The amount of content and the number of links each month depend on your plan. Starter includes one new content page a month. Growth includes nine. The rhythm is the same on every plan. Only the volume changes.

How does SEO tie into AI search and GEO?

AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews answer questions by pulling from pages that search engines have already found and trust. If your site is hard to crawl, thin or unknown, it is invisible to them too. That is why SEO comes first and GEO, short for generative engine optimization, builds on top of it.

  • Crawlable pages: The same technical fixes that help Google help AI crawlers read your site.
  • Clear answers: Pages that answer a question in the first two sentences are the ones AI tools quote.
  • Consistent facts: Your name, services, prices and locations should match everywhere they appear online.
  • Mentions on other sites: Links, reviews and articles tell an AI tool that people other than you vouch for your business.

Every MRB plan includes AI visibility work. From the Traction plan up, we also track each month whether AI tools name your business for the questions your buyers ask. Read more on our GEO services page.

What should you ask any SEO agency before you sign?

These questions work on us and on anyone else you are considering. Write down the answers and compare them side by side.

  • Who will actually do the work, and how many years have they done it?
  • How many pages of content and how many links do I get each month?
  • Which keywords will you go after first, and why those?
  • What will you change on my site in the first 90 days?
  • How do you report: leads and sales, or only rankings and impressions?
  • How long is the contract, and how do I cancel?
  • Who owns the content, the accounts and the logins if we part ways?
  • Can you show results from a business like mine?

How MRB compares on those questions

  • Who does the work: MRB Marketing: Brian Vastola, with 25 years of hands-on SEO, plus a senior team of 5 specialists. A typical agency: a salesperson signs you, then a junior account manager takes over.
  • Pricing: MRB Marketing: five published plans starting at $950/month. A typical agency: a custom quote after a sales call.
  • Contract: MRB Marketing: month-to-month or a 6-month agreement, with 30 days' notice to cancel. A typical agency: often a 12-month commitment.
  • AI search: MRB Marketing: AI visibility work is included in every plan. A typical agency: often sold as an extra, or not offered.
  • Reporting: MRB Marketing: a monthly report on what we did, what moved and what is next. A typical agency: often an automated dashboard export.

What affects the cost and timeline of SEO?

The same five things drive both. The harder each one is, the more work each month takes and the longer results take to show.

  • Competition: A roofer in a small town faces a handful of rivals. A national store faces hundreds, some with big budgets.
  • Size: More locations or more products mean more pages to build and keep healthy.
  • Starting point: A site with indexing problems, a past penalty or a messy redesign needs repair before it can grow.
  • Content gap: If competitors have fifty useful pages and you have five, closing that gap takes months of steady publishing.
  • Authority gap: If trusted sites link to your competitors and not to you, earning that trust takes time.

Value tip: before you compare prices, compare scope. Put each quote in a simple table with four rows: content pages per month, links per month, who does the work and contract length. A $1,000 plan with one page a month and a $2,000 plan with four pages are not the same product. The SEO cost calculator gives you a ballpark for your market in about a minute.

What do SEO services include?

SEO services include technical fixes, on-page optimization, content creation, link building, keyword research and, for local businesses, Google Business Profile work. At MRB, every plan also includes AI visibility work, keyword tracking, an initial technical audit and monthly reporting. We pick the mix that fits your business during the strategy phase.

How much do SEO services cost?

Our plans start at $950/month for small local businesses and go up to $9,700/month for e-commerce brands in very competitive markets. Price depends on competition, number of locations or products, content volume and link building. See pricing for what each plan includes.

How long does SEO take?

Expect early movement in 1 to 3 months and meaningful growth in 4 to 12 months. Local businesses in smaller markets often move faster. National e-commerce brands in crowded categories take longer. We show progress every month so you're never left guessing.

Do you guarantee first-page rankings?

No. No honest agency can guarantee rankings, because no one controls Google. We've earned 50,000+ first-page rankings for clients by doing the work well. We promise senior people, clear reporting and a plan based on 25 years of experience.

Which SEO service do I need most?

It depends on what's holding you back. A slow, broken site needs technical SEO first. A local business usually needs Google Business Profile and local SEO. A store with thin category pages needs on-page and content work. Our free audit tells you which one matters most for you.

Do you work with my platform?

Yes. We work with WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, Joomla, Wix, Squarespace, Elementor and other theme builders, and custom-built sites. Each platform has its own SEO limits, and we know the workarounds. See SEO by platform.

Is SEO still worth it now that people use AI tools?

Yes. AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot pull from search indexes to write their answers. Strong SEO is what gets you into those indexes and in front of AI tools. That's why we pair SEO with GEO in every plan.

Can I do SEO myself?

You can handle the basics: claim your Google Business Profile, write a clear title for each page, ask happy customers for reviews. Technical SEO, content strategy and link building take time and experience. Many clients start on their own, then bring us in when growth stalls.

What do you need from me to get started?

We need access to your website, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and, for local businesses, your Google Business Profile. If those are not set up, we set them up for you as part of every plan. We also need a short call about your services, your best customers and your goals. After that, most of the work happens without taking your time.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No. There are no long-term contracts. You choose month-to-month or a 6-month agreement, and either one can be canceled with 30 days' notice. We do suggest giving SEO at least six months before you judge it, because the first months go to fixing foundations and results build over time.
